Golfing Artists take on Trump
With Driving out the Donald campaign
Words: John Dean
A group of American artists are taking on Donald Trump in an unusual way. They have launched a campaign called “Driving out the Donald” and challenged him to a $180,000 golf duel.
Philadelphia artist David Gleeson has assembled an anti-Trump performance art group to tour 42 states and deliver their anti Trump message.
Gleeson and fellow artist May Mihelic have transformed a former Trump campaign bus into a mobile art exhibit that protests Trump's candidacy. The bus is scheduled for stops at Trump's golf courses in Colts Neck and Pine Hill, but they are not expecting a warm reception.
Gleeson has also taken to climbing on top of the tour bus, and hitting balls with Trump’s likeness imprinted on them.
We’ve never seen golf used in a political campaign before, but we wish them well in trying to drive out the Donald. Here's what they have been up to.
