PGA GolfPunks: Brian Gaffney

Before this week many of you may have shrugged your shoulders or simply muttered a nonplussed "who?" when the name Brian Gaffney was mentioned. However, after a blistering start to the PGA Championship at Whistling Straights Brian is really starting to turn some heads and is playing some eye catching golf.

Here's just some of the reasons Brian Gaffney is a Golf Punk.

- He's a properly down to earth dude and not remotely intimidated by playing with world famous superstar golfers. He even cornered Sergio in the clubhouse and had a long discussion about racing and sports cars.

- He's the club pro at Quaker Ridge Golf Club but also a part time real estate agent (like a golfing Phil Dunphy) No Modern Family references please – Ed, so when he's not sorting out his short game he's selling you a house.

- He's made the cut at Whistling Straits at Evens, which means he's way better than Tiger Woods, Padraig Harrington, Zach Johnson and Ian Poulter. None of whom made the cut.

- He nicked Phil Mickelson's parking space and clearly has a corking sense of humour...
