Security Guard Tackles Pro at Canadian Open
Adam Hadwin flattened amid celebrations
Amid the celebrations on the 18th after Nick Taylor had written himself into Canadian folklore by becoming the first native to win the Canadian Open since 1954, Adam Hadwin stole the headlines by being floored by a security guard, who had thought the PGA tour pro was a fan.
Hadwin was aggressively tackled to the ground on the 18th green while trying to celebrate his friend Nick Taylor's win in Toronto on Sunday, after a security guard had identified him as an over-exuberant fan trying to spray Taylor down with champagne.
Though we take absolutely no pleasure in sharing these images, the full video is available down below;
With a slow-mo available for those of you who would like to saviour the moment for a little longer;
Hadwin was quickly helped to his feet once everyone realised what was going on, and appears to be absolutely fine, with his wife Jessica tweeting [he is] "still among the land of the living and in true Canadian form, apologised to the security guard for being tackled".
The Canadian has arrived this week at the Los Angeles Country Club in California for the fast-approaching US Open, with some USGA staff finding the funny side of Sundays event.
