Scottie Scheffler takes RBC Heritage
Another week, another jacket
He's done it again....
As the gaze shifted from the hallowed grounds of Augusta National to the quaint charm of Harbour Town Golf Links, Scottie Scheffler claimed victory at the RBC Heritage, hosted on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

The final round, initially halted due to fading light, saw Scheffler navigating through 15 holes before the suspension. Despite a closing bogey on the 18th, he sealed the tournament at an impressive 19 under par, comfortably ahead by three strokes over Sahith Theegala in second place.
Scheffler's triumph was all but assured even before he stepped onto the 16th tee on Monday. Yet, Sunday's sunset hinted at potential drama when his second shot found the water on the 15th. However, a deft approach to 12 feet salvaged a crucial par, preserving his five-shot lead.
Reflecting on the tense moment, Scheffler remarked to reporters, "I felt like the par was pretty important tonight, just being able to go to sleep and still keeping a clean card."
Scheffler's stats for this season are becoming ridiculous. It's incredible to think that his first PGA Tour win came just over two years ago at the WM Phoenix Open and has shown zero signs of slowing down since.
This was his fourth win in five starts (w-w-2-w-w) and makes him the first player since Tiger Woods in 2006 to follow a major win with a tour win in the following event. He also adds $3.6m in winnings to bring his total season's earnings north of $18m and career earnings beyond $86m.

Taking a well-deserved break, Scheffler is absent from the field at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, eyeing a return at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson before setting his sights on the Wells Fargo Championship's lucrative $20 million purse.
As the golfing world anticipates the upcoming PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club, beginning on May 16, one thing is abundantly clear: Scheffler's name looms large as early favourite, again....
