Keegan Bradley Claims Travelers Championship

American wins sixth career title on PGA Tour

Keegan Bradley wins the Travelers Championship, earning his sixth PGA Tour title and second of the season meaning he has multiple victories in a season for the second time in his career, with the first coming in 2011.

The American's 257 winning total sets new 72-hole tournament record (previously held by Kenny Perry in 2009 at 258).

The 2011 PGA Championship winner finished three strokes ahead of compatriot Zac Blair, who shoot a superb eight-under 62 to finish second alongside Brian Harman.

Bradley took a one-shot lead into the final day at TPC River Highlands and at one point led by six strokes, only to give the chasing pack an opportunity to close in by making three bogeys within four holes.

However, the American held his nerve and carded a final-round two-under-par 68 to finish on 23 under overall.

"I just am so proud to win this tournament," Bradley said. "Travelers and everybody involved puts on a first-class tournament. It's been like this for a decade, and I'm so happy to be the winner here."

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler finished tied-fourth with Patrick Cantlay and Chez Reavie, while Rory McIlroy fired a strong final-round 64, hitting five birdies in his first seven holes to finish T7 - his fifth consecutive top-10 finish on the PGA Tour.

Bradley takes home $3.6 million from the $20 million total prize purse for his efforts, along with 500 FedExCup points moving him to 5th in the overall standings, behind only Wyndham Clark, Max Homa, Scottie Scheffler, and Jon Rahm, whilst also sitting above Viktor Hovland, Rory McIlroy, and Tony Finau - not bad company!

This week the PGA Tour heads to Detroit, Michigan for the Rocket Mortgage Classic at the Detroit Golf Club where Tony Finau will be hoping to defend his title.
