American Golf launches free winter training
Helping golfers improve and continue playing during winter
American Golf Leisure has launched an online and in-person winter training programme, Train Your Game, aimed at helping golfers improve ahead of the 2023 season and to encourage golfers to keep playing during winter.
The Train Your Game programme involves free weekly online training plans and group social training sessions* at American Golf ranges and utilises Toptracer range technology in 135 bays across six sites nationally.
The programme has been created to encourage winter practice and help golfers meet and socialise with each other during the cold dark nights. Designed by a series of top PGA professionals, sports psychologists and fitness experts, the weekly programme, delivered via email, focuses on a different training topic each week, supported by free-to-access skills and drills videos on YouTube (first online session HERE)
Sessions include how to outwit your opponents and fitness tips to improve your drive, along with training guides and tips with Professionals like Dan Whittaker, Jae Bowers, Lee Crombleholme and Justin Rose’s Academy team. Golfers can sign up via: www.trainyourgame or visit one of the 60 group training sessions taking place at American Golf Leisure’s facilities over the next ten weeks.

"Chatting to our customers, we recognised a need to keep golfers engaged, practicing and connected with each other over the long winter months. There’s lots in the news about loneliness, especially in men, so we thought this would be a great way to keep people connected, help make new friends, and support golfers to start the new season with an improved score and lower handicap.”
Gary Favell, CEO for American Golf Leisure
The in-person Train Your Game sessions will take place across American Golf’s six sites - Golf Kingdom Rossendale & Chadwell Heath, High Legh Golf Club, Wythall Golf Complex, Hemingford Abbots Golf Complex and Barnehurst Golf Club.
