Team USA dominate in final day victory in Presidents Cup
International team come up short as US take 10th straight win
Team USA secured their 10th straight Presidents Cup in a continued run of dominance, with healthy 18½-11½ victory over a valiant International Team.
This year, in Canada, at the Royal Montreal Golf Club, captained by none other than US legend Jim Furyk the side rode a 11-7 lead going into the final day.
The US team only needed 4½ points from the final day match play singles matches to take the title, and did so crushingly by taking 7½ of the potential 12.
"We've put a lot of heart and soul into it," winning captain Furyk said "Ultimately these players were amazing. It was a really good group of 12, an easy bunch. I had great leadership at the top.
"They made the captain's job really easy, and these guys played their hearts out this week, and they really played well on the back nine. We talked about being a dog all week, being the tougher team."
Next year's Ryder Cup captain, Keegan Bradley beat one of the International Team's stand out players in Korean Kim Si-woo.
"Wow, that was incredible, I didn't know if I would get to do this again and to be able to just play in this tournament, and to win the point... my goodness." said Bradley.
"The last time I played (2014), I was the point to lose the Ryder Cup. If this is my last round as a player - maybe it is - I'm happy with that."
Where the International really did make it a great contest at times, they were still unable to find their first win in the Cup since 1998.
