Thomas Pieters taking advice from Nicki C

Thomas Pieters says he has been taking advice from fellow Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts in the build-up to the Ryder Cup at Hazeltine.
The 24-year-old is set to become just the second Belgian to feature in the competition. Pieters now hopes to emulate the success Colsaerts enjoyed with the European team at Medinah in 2012.
He was quoted on the official Ryder Cup website, saying: “I’ve been watching some YouTube videos of the Ryder Cup and Nicolas has been sending me some video. He’s been really helpful and I think he’s more excited than I am. It’s really cool to have somebody like that by your side. One of my recent memories of the Ryder Cup is watching from start to finish when Nicolas played and that brilliant round against Tiger (Woods). I wanted to do it as well and four years later I’m playing the Ryder Cup, so it’s a little bit surreal, but it’s sinking in.”
It has been an incredible year for Thomas, with his fourth place at the Olympics, and his recent win at the Made in Denmark, as well as his second place at the Czech Masters. Sadly he won’t be defending his KLM title as he was bitten by a bee and had a allergic reaction.
