Glenmuir launches TV campaign on Sky
Ads chronicle Stephen Gallacher’s journey from boy to tour player
Glenmuir has launched a brand new TV campaign “Your Golf Brand” which will be aired on Sky Sports throughout May and June 2022. The film features one of Glenmuir’s ambassadors Stephen Gallacher on his journey from being born and brought up near the factory in Lanark, Scotland right through to his European Tour and Ryder Cup wins.
The Concept
The film chronicles Stephen Gallacher’s journey from growing up, cleaning his clubs and practising in and around Lanark in the heart of Scotland, which has remained Glenmuir’s home for over 130 years. It then showcases some of Stephen’s career highlights from his European Tour and Ryder Cup wins.
The film captures the essence of what Glenmuir is as a brand and its purpose of crafting the world’s most loved golf clothing since 1891. It is a brand for everyone, a reliable trusty partner, with you on the links, out on the fairway, through the rough, and on the green. Loved by generations of golfers. The brand belongs to you. Glenmuir is and will always be "Your Golf Brand".

The Location
The film starts at George’s B&B, a friendly and charming home away from home for many of Glenmuir’s team members as it is located on Delves Road in Lanark, a mere hop, and a skip from Glenmuir’s factory. The advert then moves to Lanark Golf Club where the young Stephen can be seen practising.
The video morphs into Stephen teeing off at The Renaissance Golf Club, on “Scotland’s Golf Coast”, which is the home of The Scottish Open. The film showcases some flashbacks of Stephen’s maiden victory in the 2004 Dunhill Links Championship, his 2019 Hero Indian Open win and him playing in the winning 2014 Ryder Cup Team at Gleneagles wearing his iconic Glenmuir Saltire sweater.

The On Screen Stars
To cast a young Stephen Glenmuir needed someone who had a great swing and wasn’t shy in front of the camera. Matthew was the perfect fit. A low handicapper himself he has been affiliated with Stephen Gallacher through his Foundation for many years.
The Foundation encourages golf at a junior level for golfers from all backgrounds and Glenmuir is proud to be able to support this worthy cause. Stephen Gallacher plays himself, and the film also features his son and caddy Jack. Jack was on Stephen’s bag for his 2019 Hero Indian Open win which made that victory that much more special for Stephen.
