Heritage Golf Club has been awarded the ‘Indian Ocean’s Best Golf Course’

Heritage Golf Club has been awarded the ‘Indian Ocean’s Best Golf Course’ for the third year in a row at the World Golf Awards.

Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort was also awarded the ‘Indian Ocean’s Best Golf Hotel’, for the first time. 

Jacques Charles, COO, Heritage Resorts dedicated both awards to his team and added: 

“We are absolutely delighted to have won not one, but two awards at this prestigious golf event. We would like to thank everyone that voted for us in both categories; it really is a compliment to our brand when visitors take the time to vote for us, we are incredibly grateful. 

We look forward to 2017 when we will once again host the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open from 23^rd – 26^th November. Preparations are already underway to make this the biggest and best event to date; we hope to attract 156 championship players to the island.” 

On Saturday 12^th November, the World Golf Awards held their annual ceremony in Portugal to announce the 2016 winners. The event celebrates and rewards excellence in golf tourism, world class courses and golf destinations worldwide. A record number of votes were cast by leading golf professionals as well as hundreds of thousands of golf consumers in more than 100 countries.

Jonathan Menteath, Heritage Golf Club‘s General Manager, represented Heritage Resorts and received both awards during the event and adds:
