First Under Armour signed Jordan Spieth who promptly bagged a couple of majors and became World Number 1. Now it looks like the sportswear giants are lining up the leader of the free world, President Obama, after UA Chief Kevin Plank was spotted playing golf with the man himself.
We like rum at GP towers. To be fair we like most booze. But rum has a special little piece of our heart from trips to Mauritius, and a recent excursion to the Caribbean. It has never helped us be any good at golf though. However for Rod Pampling it helped him shoot 61 at the Australian Open and got him a start at the Open at Troon next year.

In the blue corner multi major winner and legend in his lifetime Phil ‘Lefty’ Mickelson and in the pink corner former LPGA player and Instagram sensation Paige Spiranac. Both have recently posted instructional videos to help us ordinary folk get the ball out of that dratted sand! But which one gave us the best video? We have judged both of the instruction videos and here is the result.
Most of us are happy with just the one hole-in-one in our lives but Si Woo Kim came within a whisker of claiming two aces in his third round at Sedgefield Country Club. Kim took the near-miss in his stride stating that he had expected it to go in but was happy to make birdie on such a tough hole.

I must say as a lefty I am in awe of these young pros who seem to be able to switch around and bomb the ball, playing left-handed. It is well known that lefty-in-chief Phil Mickelson is very handy playing right-handed, but it seems a couple of the world's best can switch round with ease and bomb it!
We’ve all been there in that bunker slashing away trying to get that damn ball up and out as you see your chances in the competition dissolve in front of your eyes. At the Genesis Invitational on Saturday Ryan Palmer had a similar horrific moment which made us amateurs feel not so bad. Tiger Woods also had his nightmare on the greens which included a four-putt!
Hats off to the European tour for coming up with another little classic for us all to have a laugh at. A few years back the tour let Little Billy loose on the players. Billy gave the pros a complete grilling with a series of cheeky questions, the Rory McIlroy one is a classic. Three years on, a documentary crew follow him as he returns to Dubai for the season-ending DP World Tour Championship.
