In the blue corner multi major winner and legend in his lifetime Phil ‘Lefty’ Mickelson and in the pink corner former LPGA player and Instagram sensation Paige Spiranac. Both have recently posted instructional videos to help us ordinary folk get the ball out of that dratted sand! But which one gave us the best video? We have judged both of the instruction videos and here is the result. Video quality Not Phil’s most remarkable bit of production work, especially the sound, but Paige is slick as ever Paige 1 Phil 0 Attire Phil was always going to struggle with this one but those ‘bunker sandals’ meant it was a no brainer. Paige 2 Phil 0 Narrative Paige as ever lets her err swing do the talking but we must admit we found Phil’s commentary more compelling. Paige 2 Phil 1
Instruction quality Once again, the king of the short game takes it as it was simple and easy to follow. Paige 2 Phil 2 So it’s a tie and it goes to our editor for the casting vote Editors verdict: Sorry Phil but I was drawn to Paige for some reason and she gets my vote!
