Tour pro makes cut using rental clubs and wrong contact lenses

Denmark's Nicole Broch Larsen had to play the first round with rental clubs after her luggage went missing on a flight from Amsterdam. Worse still, she had to borrow a pair of Camilla Lennarth's contact lenses!

She botched together a set of clubs using some from the pro shop and wedges borrowed from friends. But it was the contact lens situation that proved most challenging – they weren't the right prescription.

The lenses were not as strong as her usual ones and she admitted she couldn't see the ball on the green from 150 yards but still managed to shoot a one-under-par 71.

"I would definitely have taken that before I teed off," she said. "It's been a challenge but we got through it."

She followed her first round 70 with a 71 on Friday and is currently (at time of writing) in 8th place at -4.
