Kevin Kisner holds off Jordan Spieth to win Dean & Deluca

And win a cool $1,242,000.00

I've been banging on about Kevin Kisner to anyone who'd listen to me since he won his first PGA title, the RSM in November 2015. On interviews with TalkSport Radio I've made him my outside tip for major after major. To the point it just got embarrassing.

He never did anything and my reputation for predictions was in tatters. Well, he finally came good last night. And, no, I didn't have any money on him this time...

Last night Kisner shot a final round 66 producing six birdies in his round of -4 to win the Dean & Deluca Invitational.

"And then they said, 'Here, put this mad jacket on, you'll look really cool'..."

Kisner, 33, was three shots back of Webb Simpson going into the last round but reeled Simpson in to bag his second PGA Tour win.

Jordan Spieth, who was defending champion, shot an impeccable -5 round of 65 which featured no drop shots. Spieth had to settle for second place at -9, alongside Sean O'Hair and Jon Rahm. Simpson eventually finished 5th after a disappointing last round 71.

Paul Casey, who was in the last group and just one behind Simpson going into the last round, had a horrible last round which featured four bogeys. he finished 10th

Simpson, who had a two-stroke lead going into the final round, bogeyed the first and last holes.

Not your day, Jordy...

The main drama occurred on the last hole when John Rahm had a 10-foot birdie putt to force a play off, but, well, obviously he missed.

Kisner was clearly nervy coming down the stretch and bogeyed the 16th to give Rahm and Spieth a sniff, before holing a five-foot par-saving putt at the last.

"Get in!"

"I'm just happy to win any tournament, but especially here. I love this place," said Kisner.

"I'm also pleased for GolfPunk that I could finally do them a solid and make them look like they know what they're talking about..."

Ok, he might not have said that last bit.
