Golf College achives major success
Lauren Horsford goes from 3 handicap to LET in 3 years!
Words: Tim Southwell Photography: The Golf College
We love a success story here at GolfPunk. Especially when it's a local one!
Round the corner from our offices is The Golf College at Lindfield Golf Club. Run by ex-European Tour Pro Paul Lyons in partnership with Molinari coach and Sky TV pundit Dennis Pugh, the Golf College gives 16-19 year olds the chance to be 'The Best That They Can Be' in golf, whilst also ensuring further education qualifications.
The Golf College has seen dozens of success stories with players demolishing their handicaps while working towards a career in golf whether it be the European Tour, coaching or becoming a PGA club professional.
Today saw the rise of one of their own, Lauren Horsford who finished T12th at LET Q-School, earning her full playing priveleges for the 2017 season. She also managed to look even younger today than she did in 2013 (see below)!
Good work, Lauren!!! The 19 year old, still an amateur, shot rounds of 67, 70, 70, 71 and 75 for a five round score of -7.
Massive congratulations to Lauren and everyone at The Golf College.
2013: Lauren signs up with the Golf College...
...2016: Lauren gets her Ladies European Tour Card
