Win for Willett

Danny does the business in Dubai

The sweet smell of success.

Danny Willett sank a birdie putt from 15 feet on the final hole to win the Dubai Desert Classic title by a single shot.

Willett carded a final round three under score of 69 to narrowly clinch victory. He dropped a shot on the par 4 second, but recovered quickly with birdies on the fourth and fifth.

He dropped another shot on the ninth, but again rebounded with consecutive birdies on the 12th and 13th, before bogeying again on the next hole.

His final birdie on the 18th sealed the deal, as he managed to hold off fellow Englishman Andy Sullivan, and Spain’s Rafa Cabrera-Bello, who tied for second on 18 under for the tournament. This was Danny's fourth win on the European Tour.

Rory McIlroy had a strong finishing day, shooting a seven under. But this could only bring him back into sixth place, tied with Henrik Stenson.

A seven under par final day for Alvaro Quiros took him to fourth place, alongside last year’s BMW PGA Championship winner Byeong Hun An.

Danny wins world's biggest tea pot.
