We've already written about Rory McIlroy's concerns about the Rio Olympics today. Now it's Danny Willett's turn to express concerns about participating.
"We are monitoring it," Danny said at a BMW PGA press conference at Wentworth. "We've had an e-mail from the WHO [World Health Organisation] and we are keeping on top of it.
"It's not great, is it? There's going to be 500,000 people watching the Olympics and you have 11,000 athletes right in the heart of where it's at.
"If it turns out that it would be a massive threat to myself or to Nic or to the little man, then I probably wouldn't go. Family comes first. But as it stands at the minute, I think everything should be okay.
"We're down to go and hopefully they can give us some proper guidelines as to how to keep it at bay and keep it under control so that it doesn't ruin what could be potentially a fantastic Olympics."
You can not question his reasoning. We all want the best for our families and they have to come first. And the risk to any unborn child is something no one wants to contend with. But he's the Masters Champion! If golf is going to do well at the Olympics, it needs it's biggest names in the field. No one cares if Vijay Singh or Marc Leishmann play. But if your Masters Champion, and your world number three skip it through safety concerns then what hope has golf got of securing its place in the Olympics long term?
