Tiger Woods is officially back on it

As he confirms that he will play in his own Hero Challenge

Tiger Woods is back and it's now official.

Tiger Woods will be teeing it up in his Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas at the end of November.

It will be his first start since he withdrew from the Dubai Desert Classic at the start of February.

This is what Tiger said on his website:

"“I am excited to return to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge.

“Albany is the perfect setting and it will be great to join this outstanding field. I want to thank Pawan Munjal and Hero MotoCorp for their continued support of this tournament and my foundation. I would also like to thank the fans for their unwavering support during my injury.”

And here's what he Tweeted:

So the wait is over. I know that some readers are totally bored with the whole process, but we are looking forwards to it.

Tiger Woods turns the dial in terms of engagement and he's driven the game forwards for over a decade. He knows the eyes of the world will be on him, and he won't want to be shabby. He's properly motivated, and won't want to embarrass himself.

Expect a performance.
