DJ, 33, shot a sublime -8 round of 65 to leave the field trailing in his wake. Jon Rahm was second after a final round 69 barely put a dent in DJ's ambitions.

DJ put paid to any hopes of his rivals challenging him by making four birdies on the front nine. He then rubbed it in with a brilliant eagle at the par-four 12th.

American Brian Harman finished third on 15 under while Open champion Jordan Spieth was a further three shots back.
