Stunning Wentworth home comes onto market
£25 million’s worth of luxury
Words: John Dean Photography: Knight Frank
A stunning contemporary home on the Wentworth Estate has gone on the market for a jaw dropping £25million. Here's what you get for that kind of moolah.
The house is just a long iron from Wentworth’s 12th fairway on the Championship course. The property sits in five acres of woodland, so you have complete privacy, and golf on tap as well.
Notable residents of the estate include Bruce Forsyth, Eddie Jordan, Gary Numan and Ernie Els, although Ernie spends most of his time in the US now.
The eight-bed and 10-reception room home, called 'Jura', is fitted out with high-end specifications, including Spanish limestone flooring and hand-woven carpets.
Of course it is equipped with a library, gymnasium, swimming pool and sauna and steam room. And let’s not forget the cinema and billiard room and a 1,500sq ft party room, which is fitted with recessed subwoofers and high-level audio speakers.
Outside, there is a 2,200sq ft garage for a fleet of luxury cars. The property has gone on the market with estate agents Knight Frank.
James Crawford, of Knight Frank, said: 'This property is unlike anything we have seen on Wentworth.
'It is an amazing place and very different from more conventional properties. It has a superb feeling of light and space.
'There are lots of reasons why it would appeal to buyers. Wentworth is an internationally destination as a location.
'It is a great location in terms of good schools and is very accessible for international buyers with Heathrow and London being so close.'
So that’s more reasons why you’ll need to find £25 million big ones to live here.
