Second Texas golf club assault in a week

What the hell is going on in Texas? For the second time this week, there has been a shocking incident at a Texas golf course.

Last Friday Michael Plumlee ended up in hospital following a serious assault after a golfer hit into his group. This time, the incident has resulted in a fatality.

Collin County police were called to a shooting at Hurricane Creek Golf Course near Anna in Texas at 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

A police statement said: "This appears to be a result of conflict between the two men and deputies feel confident that no other parties are involved."

John Robert Sim, 20, has been arrested on suspicion of murder after Julio Garcia, 55, died due to a gunshot wound. Both men were employed at the golf course.

Sim is being held in the Collin County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
