Sardinia set for star-studded Costa Smeralda Invitational 20118

The Costa Smeralda Invitational 2018 is set to take place this weekend, 21st – 23rd September, on the sunny Italian island of Sardinia in the fabled coastline of Costa Smeralda. A plethora of stars from across the world of sports, entertainment and business are set to descend on Sardinia to participate in the fourth edition of the Costa Smeralda Invitational, raising money for two official charities: Rays of Sunshine and Martin Kaymer Helianthus Foundation.
Celebrities attending the Costa Smeralda Invitational 2018 include former world golf no.1 and golf host Martin Kaymer, former tennis world no.1 and tennis host Kim Clijsters, former Tour de France star and cycling host David Millar, singer, TV, entertainment star and Gala Dinner performer Alesha Dixon, renowned fashion designer and waterskiing host Melissa Odabash, football legends John Terry, Peter Schmeichel, Nemanja Vidic, Ruud Gullit and Daniele Massaro, All Blacks rugby legend Sean Fitzpatrick and former Scottish rugby stars Max and Thom Evans, England cricketer Nick Compton, TV and entertainment stars James Nesbitt and Jamie Theakston, former British tennis no.1 Greg Rusedski and former professional golfer Andrew Coltart.
This year’s event will feature a coaching clinic and celebrity golf tournament, held at the stunning Pevero Golf Club, by former world no.1 Martin Kaymer. In similar fashion to last year’s event, CSI 2018 will also feature tennis, cycling and water-skiing events. The tennis will take place at the Cervo Tennis Club and will be hosted by 4-time Grand Slam champion Kim Clijsters, who will lead a coaching session followed by a doubles tournament. Former Tour de France star David Millar will lead a cycling tour that passes along the scenic coastline of Sardinia. Renowned fashion designer Meilissa Odabash will host and judge a waterskiing competition at Hotel Cala di Volpe.
In the event finale, guests and their partners will have the opportunity to celebrate their time at the Costa Smeralda Invitational 2018 at the Charity Gala Dinner held at the renowned Hotel Cala di Volpe. The dinner includes a live, exclusive performance by English singer and showbiz star Alesha Dixon and a charity auction that aims to raise money for the official event charities: Rays of Sunshine and Martin Kaymer Helianthus Foundation.
