Rory beaten by Kjeldsen at World Match Play
Up against it now

The signs are not good for Rory to prevail here in Texas. Only one player, Dustin Johnson, went on to make the last 16 after losing their opening match in last year's tournament.
So Rory's 2&1 defeat to Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen does not bode well for the World Number 2.
He now has to overcome both Emiliano Grillo and the big-hitting Gary Woodland to progress out of the group stages.
He's in good company though, as Jordan Spieth and Danny Willett both came a cropper in their first matches. Spieth lost 4&2 to Japan's Hideto Tanihara and Willett went down to the same score, Korea's KT Kim taking care of business here. Willett's poor recent form will be nagging away as he prepares to defend his Masters title in two weeks time.... 2 WEEKS!!!!! (Steady lad – Ed).
Sorry, got a bit excited there. Back to the World Match Play.
Other notable results saw Dustin Johnson take out Webb Simpson 5&3, and there were also wins for Paul Casey who beat Joost Luiten, the super in-form Tommy Fleetwood who beat Zach Johnson. Another player enjoying a greart season is Tyrrell hatton who came back from behind to beat Charles Howell III 2&1.
Other Day 1 losers:
Ross Fisher lost to Louis Oosthuizen
Matt Fitzpatrick lost to Kevin Na
Andy Sullivan lost to Branden Grace
Lee Westwood lost to last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational winner Marc Leishman.
