Finding his form at the Nordea Masters

Nicolas Colsaert’s recent good form has continued as he briefly joined Matthew Fitzpatrick at the top of the leaderboard midway through the third round of the Nordea Masters at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club.
He’s now tied second with Alex Noren at ten under, five shots back from Fitzpatrick. But Nicky C does seem to be heading in the right direction now.
Nicky C came close to losing his card last season, but a late surge in form carried him through. He’s managed to keep this momentum going, and has made his last five cuts with a third-placed finish at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
He started the day three at eight under, three shots behind Fitzpatrick, but turned in a 33 to get to 11 under and join the Englishman who played his front nine in level par. Fitzpatrick then put his foot down on the back nine, with four birdies to card a 68.
Nicolas Colsaerts felt his game was starting to come together after shooting a faultless 66 on the second day of the Nordea Masters, but he has yet to hit the form that saw him make the Ryder Cup team in 2012.
He is happy he is getting close to something like his best again. “I wouldn't say I'm back to my best just yet, but I'm getting there and my game seems to be heading in the right direction again. I feel like I've been playing decent golf for quite a while, but kept throwing in some big mistakes, which really killed my momentum. I'm finally managing to cut out the mistakes and keep the big numbers off my card."
We are all big fans of Nicky C and will be keeping a close eye on how he’s doing. Come on Nicky C!
