Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter are tied for second after moving day at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
McIlroy posted a three-under 67, whilst Poulter shot a 70 to reach 11 under, three shots behind leader American Justin Thomas , who added a 67 to his previous rounds of 65 and 64 to reach 14 under.
"I'm excited for Sunday to see how everything holds up," said McIlroy.
McIlroy added: "It felt good, I hit a few more fairways today which definitely helped.
"I drove the ball well, gave myself plenty of chances, didn't convert too many but even when I put myself out of position I held some good pars.
"If I can just make a couple more birdies and keep the bogeys off my card, I shouldn't be too far away."
Tommy Fleetwood shot a disappointing 74 to drop down to seven under and T9.
Tiger Woods could only shoot a 73 to fall back to three under T28.
