Machrihanish Golf Club house consumed by fire
Machrihanish was founded in 1876 and is considered one of Scotland's corker

The clubhouse at Machrihanish GC has been consumed by fire in an incident that occurred yesterday.
The clubhouse was extensively damaged, as these pictures from MAKI Police demonstrate.
Thankfully no one was injured in the blaze, but they have a big job ahead of them to rebuild. Fortunatley no damage has been done to the fantastic links course, with its famous opening drive. We wish them all the best.
