From the sunshine of the Love Island villa and the bright lights of Newcastle’s nightlife, Chris Hughes and Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle, two of the biggest reality stars in the UK are set to head to Warwickshire this summer, for the 2018 edition of the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship. Well known for appearing on Love Island and Geordie Shore respectively, the pair will be hoping to score in a very different way on the Cromwell Course this August!
Chris Hughes is the loveable character best known for appearing on the third series of Love Island in 2017, where his antics in the villa captured the attention and hearts of the nation. This included his ‘bromance’ with fellow islander, Kem. The two have gone on to build a career in broadcasting including new show, You vs Chris and Kem. Chris made it to the final of the programme and since leaving the villa last year has continued to make headlines as one of the most popular reality stars in the UK.
Going head-to-head with Chris is the star of MTV reality series Geordie Shore, Gaz Beadle. One of the original cast members of the show that started in 2011, Gaz was in the spotlight for many of his high-profile relationships on the show, as well as his laddish behaviour. And, he quickly became one of most recognisable faces in the ‘The Toon.’ Since leaving the show in 2017 he has appeared on a whole host of popular television programmes including Ex on the Beach, Spring Break with Grandad and Hell’s Kitchen Australia.
Off screen, both stars are huge golf fans, and have played in golf events such as the Wentworth Pro-Am at the BMW PGA Championship in the past. The pair will be in action in the Celeb-Am on Friday 10 August and are sure to be wanting to get one over on each other. Chris and Gaz will be joined on the Cromwell Course by a wide range of other celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment including Harry Potter actors James and Oliver Phelps, former England rugby captain Mike Tindall MBE and Irish boyband stars Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy all taking part.
