Jordan makes the cut
Seven behind the leaders at the Valspar

Jordan Spieth had to hole out three times from off the green to ensure that there was no question of missing the cut at the Valspar Championship on Friday.
He ended up shooting a three under 68 on the famously tricky Copperhead Course at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. This performance wiped out any bad memories of his opening round 76.
At the halfway stage he is tied 43rd, and a full seven shots behind the leaders Steve Stricker and Will MacKenzie.
He certainly didn’t get off to the start he had hoped, as he straightaway dropped a shot on the opening par five. After that he did get it going, with five birdies, and a solitary additional bogey. He had two excellent chip-ins, and his short game was back with him.
“Today was all about the cut,” the defending champion told reporters. “I actually did pretty well to make six at the first hole. I thought it was really strong what we did after that. For the first 20 holes to be at six-over and we finished at two-over, (there are) positives going forwards.”
So dramas have been averted, and we can tuck into the final two days and see just how far Jordan can claw it back.
We will aslo be looking out for GolfPunk Will Wlicox. He also made the cut, shooting a 69 to add to his first round 76. Phew!
