Goodwood Unveils 'New' Vintage Golf Cart
Introducing the Woody 2
Words: The Brigadier Photography: Golf At Goodwood
Golf At Goodwood have unveiled the second generation of their famous Woody golf buggy. The ‘Woody 2’ is modeled on the Brakenvan, a 1934 design by Lord March’s grandfather, the ninth Duke of Richmond.
The Woody 2 is far from your standard golf cart. The seat covers are in 1930's style, and the vintage-inspired exterior is finished with a mohair roof, which is the same as used in the Jaguar e-type convertible.
A cool box inside a basket, made from Somerset willow, can keep champagne chilled during a round of golf and two USB ports are available to keep golfers connected on the go. A vintage look, but with all mod cons!
General Manager for Golf At Goodwood, Stuart Gillett, commented, “ Golf At Goodwood has always been about providing a unique experience and redefining the way the game is played and the endearing Woody 2 only enhances its reputation as an imaginative and spectacular golf course.”
We're loving it. Totally Top Gear material.
