If you are looking for something a bit different on the golf holiday front this year, we have discovered this amazing house in Deal which you can rent, which is right on the doorstep of Royal Cinque Ports, Princes and Royal St Georges.
The Admiral Penn is a recently renovated luxury 5 ensuite double bedroom house for rent in the bohemian historic seaside town of Deal. The property sits proudly on the seafront, looking out over the English Channel to France and was formerly an 18th century public house. Amazingly convenient, Deal is only an hour and a quarter from central London by high-speed train.
The Admiral Penn has very recently undergone an extensive top to bottom renovation with no expense spared to make it the most sought after luxury holiday home in Deal. The property, situated on the seafront, on the edge of the historic conservation area boasts fantastic coastal views. Each and every element of this historic former 18th-century public house has been carefully considered: The five double en-suite bedrooms decorated in relaxing tones are all furnished with Super-King sized beds dressed in luxurious 400 thread count Egyptian Cotton linens from The White Company.
Each of the five generously proportioned sleek ensuite bathrooms feature powerful, high-quality, thermostatically controlled double headed monsoon showers and are kept cosy with underfloor heating.
Fluffy towels also from The White Company are in every bathroom as well as indulgent toiletries from Korres, complete the opulent picture.
The Admiral Penn has an open plan living room with a copper top bar, ice maker and wine fridge.
The adjacent, beautifully fitted designer kitchen is equally well equipped with a multifunctional electric oven, ceramic induction hob, microwave and an American style refrigerator. There is plenty of storage with every utensil you could possible require as well as Sophie Conran’s Portmeirion tableware.
In addition, there is a Breakfast room with an upscale expresso machine, French press, coffee machine and pretty much anything you might need.
The old beer cellar has been converted into a cinema room with comfy loungers, a massive 65 inch 4K HDR flat screen TV with Blue-Ray, Sky, Apple, Google and Netflix.
Strong Wi-Fi throughout the property as well as washer/dryer for the guests use, underfloor heating in all ensuites, breakfast room and kitchen. In addition, there are 7 bathrooms, central heating throughout the four floors and all bedrooms and bathrooms are individually temperature controlled.
The property also has a house manager when needed and can organize a local chef to cook at the house. Massage and Daily cleaning service are also available on request.
The prices are excellent for groups of golfers based on 5 sharing:
Low Season £200 a night– November 1st to December 21st
Peak Season £400 a night – July 1st to August 24th, February 9th to February 28th
High Peak Season £550 a night – August 25th to August 29th, December 22nd to January 2nd, March 23rd to April 3rd, May 25th to June 3rd.
The property is owned by Monique van Steenkiste, who is an American living in London with her husband and two small children. She has two other partners in the property and also owns property in Lulworth Cove, Devon; Isle of Palms, South Carolina and Redonda Bay in Nicaragua.
The idea was to create a place for families and their friends and children to rent a place for a week. As there are not so many large properties around the English coasts, the idea was to provide a large but luxury home from home property with full facilities for people who love the coast and love to have plenty of activities at their door step.
Which is also why it is the perfect retreat for groups of golfers, who want to experience the fanatstic links golf that the area has to offer.
