Ecco golf ambassador Minjee Lee celebrates birthday

Australian Minjee Lee celebrated her 22^nd birthday in style with a dramatic victory at the LPGA Volvik Championship on Sunday in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Having taken a two-shot lead into the final round, challengers pushed Lee all the way to the end before a closing birdie on the 72^nd hole lifted her to a one-shot victory.

Lee, who turned 22 on the final Sunday of the event, has shown terrific form all season recording five top-10 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including narrowly missing out in a playoff to fellow ECCO^® GOLF ambassador, Lydia Ko a few weeks ago.

The win moved Lee up seven places in the Rolex World Rankings to number eight, as she entered the top-10 for the first time in her career.

“I’ve been playing pretty solid the whole year, and it’s just nice to have a win,” said Lee.

The victory comes at a great time for Lee with the Women’s US Open beginning on Thursday next week.

“It’s going to be a totally different week, so I’ll just try my best and I know I’m hitting it pretty solid and putting it solid, so I think we’ll have a great week,” said Lee.
