Discord at Watford FC

One of Watford's senior players missed training before the recent game against Liverpool to play a game of golf, such was the breakdown in his relationship with Walter Mazzarri.

Three days prior to the Monday Night Football clash, an unnamed player who did not believe he would be in the starting line–up, bunked off training for a game of golf.

But on the morning of the fixture he was told he would be in the starting line–up and then did not exactly play a blinder. 

Mazzarri's relationship with the players has deteriorated recently, with reports suggesting that players were fed up with the intensive training regime and lack of days off.

But it is now all over for Mazzarri, as he has been given the push by Watford, who will now be looking for their nineth manager in six years.
