Callaway signs rising star Daniel Berger

To Pro Staff team

Callaway has announced that it has reached a Staff Pro agreement with Daniel Berger. Already a standout performer on Tour, Berger joins the company following a breakout season, highlighted by his first PGA Tour win in June at the FedEx St. Jude Classic.

The 23-year-old Florida native has been one of the best young players in the game since his amateur career at Florida State University, when he tied for 2nd at the 2013 NCAA Championship as a sophomore and then turned pro at age 20.

After turning pro, he earned his PGA Tour card through the Web.com Tour money list in 2014, and as a rookie in 2015, he finished 11th in the FedExCup standings, earned over $3 million, and was named the Tour's Rookie of the Year. And in 2016, he won in Memphis, earned nearly $3.3 million, and moved inside the top-35 in the World Golf Rankings erger

"I joined the Callaway Tour Staff because of the equipment," Berger said. "And more than anything I wanted to play the new (Epic) Driver. I'm excited for the year to get underway."

"We're thrilled to have Daniel join our Team," Callaway SVP of Global Sports Marketing, Tim Reed said. "We had a tremendous year in 2016 that included 3 major wins, 26 worldwide Tour wins, Jim Furyk's 58, Patrick Reed's dominance at the Ryder Cup, Danny Willett's triumph at Augusta, and Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson's unforgettable duel at The Open. And with our deep roster of proven winners and exciting young players like Daniel, we know that 2017 can be even better."

Berger will add to Callaway's extensive list of star players in their 20s, which includes Reed, Willett, Wes Bryan, Ollie Schniederjans, Ryo Ishikawa, Branden Grace and Thomas Pieters among them.

As a Full Callaway Staffer, he will use Callaway clubs, balls, gloves and an Odyssey Putter.
