Bridgestone brings DriveGuard Trophy to life
20,000 golfers engaged
Words: John Dean
Bridgestone’s DriveGuard Trophy for amateur golfers has engaged with more than 20,000 players at hundreds of clubs across England.
The inaugural competition formed the backbone of Bridgestone’s association with the sport in 2016 and put three successful players on a journey to eventually enjoy a round with one of the biggest stars of the European Tour.
An official video of the competition can now be viewed here https://youtu.be/brs9yn6yl4M
After successful players won their club events, they went on to compete in seven regional finals and eventually, a keenly contested grand final at Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire, at the pro-am of the Bridgestone Challenge event.
For winning amateurs Carl Broomfield, Zack Rosen and Peter Carr, the journey doesn’t end there either, as they prepare to play with a leading star of the European Tour at the pro-am of the British Masters supported by Sky Sports on Wednesday October 12.
