The final group of Brandon Grace, Victor Dubuisson and Scott Jamieson produced an absorbing final-day battle.

They all had a share of the lead with four holes to play, but a brilliant 40-foot birdie putt on the 16th moved Grace to 11 under and with a one-shot victory over Jamieson.

With three birdies on his front nine, and a further three on his back nine, and not a single shot dropped, this was a master class in consistency.

Scott Jamieson was out in 36, with two birdies, and but he had a nasty double bogey on the par four 8th. He was back in 34, with no dropped shots and two further birdies. But it was not enough, and the day was Grace’s.

Victor Dubuisson was in contention until he dropped a shot at the 15th, and he had to be content with third place in this the seventh event of the Rolex series.

Meanwhile Tommy Fleetwood could not keep up his moving day charge, and could only shoot a one under for the day, to finish back in 10th place. There’s still more work for Tommy to do is he wants to bag the Race to Dubai.

He has amassed 4,235,987 points in his 22 appearances, whilst Justin Rose has 3,979,250 from just 11 appearances, after his recent back-to-back wins in Turkey and China. This one is going down to the wire.
