Bernhard Langer has to put Donald Trump straight
On voting fraud story...

In Donald Trump's world, danger lurks around every corner, everyone is guilty and the apocalypse should not be dismissed entirely out of hand. And now he's dragging Bernard Langer, of all people, into his web of menace.
On Wednesday night, The New York Times published an article about Donald Trump and his views on voter fraud. The article centred around a White House meeting on Monday, when Trump met with the leaders of the Senate and House Of Representatives and promptly told them a story about Bernard Langer.
Trump claimed that Langer was turned away at a voting poll in Florida as he attempted to vote on Election Day. The fact that Langer is a German citizen and so not even eligible to vote in an American election didn't seem to perturb Trump in any way, and three witnesses told the Times that Langer was indeed the subject of the story.
Such was the confusion that Langer was forced to make this statement, putting the record straight:
"Unfortunately, the report in the New York Times and other news outlets was a mischaracterisation by the media. The voting situation reported was not conveyed from me to President Trump, but rather was told to me by a friend. I then relayed the story in conversation with another friend, who shared it with a person with ties to the White House. From there, this was misconstrued.
"I am not a citizen of the United States, and cannot vote. It’s a privilege to live in the United States, and I am blessed to call America my home. I will have no further comment at this time."
Let's hope the leader of the free world doesn't misconstrue the instructions on the 'Do NOT press this button if you don't want to blow up the world' button.
