American Golf Opens National Academy

American Golf has opened a National Academy at High Legh Park Golf Club in Knutsford, Cheshire. Opened by Stoke City and Republic of Ireland footballer Shay Given, the Academy has a 9 and 18 hole course, and is soon to open a children’s course and aims to help golfers of all abilities, with it’s cutting edge technology and leading PGA pro’s.

American Golf National Academy’s new resident pro is Damian Taylor who has just coached American amateur Jordan Niebrugge to the Silver Medal at the Open.  Taylor said “I had Jordan in here just before final qualifying to fine tune a few things and he’s had the best couple of weeks golf of his life. Next week I’ve got an absolute beginner coming in to take their first swings of a club so whatever the level, the facilities and coaches at the American Golf National Academy are ideal for any golfer who wants to improve.”
