Multiple sources suggest The Masters Champ is in negotiations
Jon Rahm is rumoured to be in advanced talks to join LIV Golf with the Spaniard considering move to the Saudi-backed series, according to a report. It is claimed the only hold up is over the format of the league rather than financial. @flushingitgolf on X (formerly twitter) suggests that;
'Jon Rahm is in late stage talks to join LIV Golf and it’s believed the hold up is not financial, but is due to him wishing to modify the format of the league.
Any changes would need the approval of all team captains as well as the league themselves. This is making negotiations difficult, but they are intensifying.'
Rahm would be a massive loss to the PGA, and rumours of him quitting for LIV ramped up last month when he said there was “no chance” of him joining the PGA Tour Policy Board following the void left by McIlroy's resignation.
