LIV Golf Transfer WIndow Opens
Opportunity to fine-tune rosters for second half of season
The Transfer Window is now open!
LIV Golf, the Saudi-backed breakaway golf league, has entered a one-month mid-season opportunity for teams to move troops around. Talking-head Jerry Foltz revealed last weekend that captains have until LIV Houston on June 7 to conclude any deals.
“As LIV Golf grows, the League will continue to establish opportunities to strengthen the competition. By opening a trade window midway through the season, all 13 teams have an opportunity to fine-tune their rosters and assess their team’s composition and performance", said figurehead Greg Norman.
Any trades will need to be direct swaps between two teams, with no transfer fees involved. Wildcards Hudson Swafford and Anthony Kim are NOT included. This window will permit teams to extend the contracts of current players too.

Those who have deals expiring at the end of the current campaign will enter free agency and risk of surrendering their place in the 2025 season. However, captains have this time to extend their current contracts.
There are four relegation spots, and such extensions will be invalid if the player in question remains there the end of the individual campaign. Last year, Chase Kopeka dropped out, alongside Sihwan Kim, Jediah Morgan, and James Piot.
