Six-time major winner has signed up to the rebel circus

LIV Golf today announced that six-time major champion Phil Mickelson, owner of 57 career professional victories, will tee off at the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series tournament this week at Centurion Club (London).
In addition, five players qualifying through The Asian Tour International Series were announced following the results of last week’s International Series England competition at Slaley Hall.
The final six players to complete the 48-man field at Centurion Club are:
• Phil Mickelson (USA)
• Itthipat Buranatanyarat (THA)*
• Viraj Madappa (IND)^
• Travis Smyth (AUS)*
• Ian Snyman (RSA)*
• Kevin Yuan (AUS)^
*International Series Order of Merit Qualifier (not otherwise exempt)
^International Series England Qualifier (not otherwise exempt)
Mickelson adds to a field that showcases seven major champions with a combined 14 major titles, as well as three former world No. 1 ranked players and 27 of the top 150 golfers in the world. A member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, Mickelson is one of the most accomplished players in the history of golf. He has spent a record 26 years ranked among the world’s top 50 golfers and has represented the United States in more than two dozen international team competitions.

The leading three players from the International Series Order of Merit (not otherwise exempt) and the leading two players from last week’s International Series England (not otherwise exempt) earned a place in the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational London, which will also welcome leading players from the Asian Tour, DP World Tour, PGA Tour, Sunshine Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia and Japan Golf Tour. LIV Golf’s broad spectrum of exemption categories is designed to ensure LIV Golf delivers new opportunities for international golfers, as well as player pathways into elite professional golf.
Beginning Thursday, June 9 at 9:00 am EST / 2:00 pm BST, complete, live coverage of LIV Golf’s historic launch at Centurion Club will be globally available direct to consumers on LIVGolf.com, YouTube and Facebook.
The LIV Golf event broadcasts will also be aired live on a global roster of leading premium and free-to-air broadcasters providing coverage in 138 territories around the world. The list of global networks covering the LIV Golf Invitational Series will be made available later this week on LIVGolf.com.
