Pedersen wins ‘duel in the sun’

Denmark’s Emily Kristine Pedersen held her nerve to secure a dramatic play-off victory over Georgia Hall to win the inaugural Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by PIF. Hall had the advantage of a three-shot cushion with five holes to play but gutsy Pedersen clawed her way back following a rollercoaster round that included six birdies, four bogeys and one double bogey.

DJ strolls to Masters Victory

For a moment, there was a doubt. Dustin Johnson had just made back to back bogies at the 5th hole and he suddenly looked human. Surely, we were not going to see another Masters meltdown or Johnson falling at the final hurdle once again. Some fifteen minutes later, it was panic over and back to business as usual. DJ clicked into overdrive and the pack had no chance of catching him.

Denmark’s Emily Kristine Pedersen closed her second round with an emphatic eagle to post a silky round of 68 (-4) and hold a two shot halfway lead at nine-under-par from Lydia Hall, heading into the weekend at the inaugural Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by PIF. The halfway cut fell at +7, with 67 players advancing to the weekend.

It all started so well for Bryson. A huge three wood down the 10th hole and a short iron set up a short birdie putt. However, the slippery five footer failed to find the cup and suddenly it was all change. DeChambeau would only hit half of the remaining fairways but somehow he would find a way to shoot a two-under round of 70.
