Have you been struggling with your short game? Well, Paige Spiranac has kindly been providing quick tips on how to improve your game. In the latest in her ‘Quickies with Paige’ video post, she demonstrates how to play the flop shot.
To quote Paige ‘The most highly requested shot, the flop shot! This is my favorite shot to hit in golf and is actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it!’
If you are finding it hard to follow the details here are the points to take away when attempting the flop shot.
Step 1 – Start with an open clubface and then take your grip. Use a weak grip.
Step 2 – Have a super wide stance with all your weight shifted forwards.
Step 3 – Move the ball forward in your stance.
Step 4 – Keep your hands in line with your belly button.
Step 5 – On turning back, keep a nice wrist cock and keep your hands close to your body.
Step 6 – As you turn back throw your hands through the ball, keeping the clubface open and keep it tight on the finish.
Easy peasy as Paige cooly demonstrates and we hope she didn’t catch a chill in that dress!
