GolfPunt: tips for the week
The Spiv is all over the RBC Heritage
Words: The Spiv
Well, the Spiv didn't do too badly last week with his top two tips, Bryson DeChambeau and Jordan Speith coming tied third and tied tenth respectively. Harbour Town is arguably a tougher challenge for the pros but once again it is a high-class field.
To Win
Given the awesome driving stats of one Bryson DeChambeau (16/1) at Colonial, last week The Spiv is sticking with his man for another week. The awesome distance off the tee may pay better dividend around Harbour Town and the guy's confidence is clearly high.
If DeChambeau can't outmuscle harbour Town then players who are tidier from tee to green with a good touch around the greens may fair better. Kevin Kistner is one who has caught The Spiv's eye and he looks good value at 66/1.
To Place
It has not been lost on The Spiv that Harbour Town is one of Matthew Fitzpatrick's favourite tracks and after a solid performance, last week odds of 55/1 look pretty attractive.
Ian Poulter (90/1) had a solid tournament in the Charles Schwab Challenge finishing tied 29th. Given the small Pete Dye greens, the winner will need to be good around the greens and Poults can be a master when it comes to chipping and putting.
And another thing...
It’s time for a Tournament ball
