The Belfry Open New Crazy Golf Course
Play some of the Ryder Cups best ever holes
Words: Daniel Owen
It seems to be the year of crazy golf. With Swingers opening in a wartime bunker this spring in London, and adventure golfs popping up all around the country, this time it’s one of the games most iconic golf courses thats embraced the craze.
The Belfry Hotel and Resort have just unveiled a 12 hole crazy golf course inspired by famous Ryder Cup venues. We’ve all wanted to go for glory on the Belfry’s iconic short par four tenth. Now you can, albeit with a putter only.
Key features from the actual holes appear on each hole, with water hazards one of the biggest problems to your scorecard. Elsewhere on the course will play the 17th at Valderrama, 18th at Wentworth, and the 17th at Kiawah Island.
But while we’ve seen plenty of doglegs in the Ryder Cup, we can’t ever remember seeing a U-Bend hole, nor a Spiral Fun hole. But can you imagine at the next Ryder Cup if Rory was playing Jordan down the stretch, and the 18th was an Up and Over fun hole? It’d get us watching! Or a windmill. Thats what the next Ryder Cup needs, a windmill. You heard it here first.
A round on the Ryder Legends Mini Golf Course costs £7 per adult and £5 per child. The course is open from 10am-6pm daily, and no booking is required. It can also be hired exclusively for £250.
