Marc Leishman might have opened up a three-stroke lead after two rounds of the BMW Championship, but all the talk was of Jason Day's miraculous hole in one.
Rory McIlroy, on the other hand, has seen his hopes of defending his FedEx Cup title all but disappear after his -2 round left him in 50th place at the BMW. Rory needs a top-four finish to reach the Tour Championship, the final Tour event of the season.
Rory is a whopping nine shots behind American Patrick Cantlay, who occupies fourth spot. We all know Rory's got it in his locker to fly up the leaderboard but it just doesn't seem to be happening for him right now.
Leishman, who carded a 64, leads at Conway Farms from fellow Aussie Day and Rickie Fowler. Justin Rose carded a 68 to move to -7 and take a share of 12th, with Paul Casey one shot behind him.
Jason Day's ace came at the par-three 17th, while Rickie Fowler recorded two eagles in his second round and is still there or thereabouts at -13.
Rory knows things are slipping away from him and ruefully said: "It's hard because I know that realistically there's not much chance of getting in next week, but I still want to go out there and play well.
"I'm here, so I might as well try to play well and try to get the most out of myself."
Too bloody right, Rory – I've had a tenner on you this week...
