Under Armour Finally Launch Golf Shoes
Now you can rock Jordan's kicks
Words: Daniel Owen
There's been Rickie's high top Puma's, Nike's Flyknit Chukka, and FootJoy's tree frog inspired Freestyle. Adidas have brought back the Tour 360, and G/Fore have come out of nowhere with their casual shoes. But the most anticipated golf shoe launch in years is finally here. Under Armour are launching not one, but three models of golf shoe starting this April.
All three models will be worn on the PGA Tour, so it comes down to personal preference what you go for. Top of the range is the UA Tempo Tour. Featuring a full grain leather upper, it has a waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry. They feature Under Armour's latest Charged cushioning for comfort, and anti-roll support to help you stay stable throughout the swing. £160, available from April 4th.
Next is the UA Tempo Hybrid. Taking the best features of the Tempo Tour, Under Armour have put it on a spikeless sole, and given the shoe a more lifestyle look. This has the makings of a great summer shoe with a pair of shorts. £120 available April 4th.
Finally there is the UA Drive One. This is the shoe that Jordan has been wearing for the last couple of years. A more athletic looking shoe, we think this will appeal to fans of FJ's DNA, and the Adidas Tour 360 Boost fans. It features Micro G foam cushioning, and a wide sole for extra stability and power, while the carbon heel counter keeps you foot locked into the shoe during the swing. £130, available from May.
