Why Justin Rose gets his clubs custom fit

When Justin Rose won the Olympic gold medal, he did it with a prototype shaft in his driver that isn't available yet to the public. A set of stiff shafted irons, rather than the typical X flex most pro's play. He used a putter made just for him. These clubs were custom fit for his game, so he can trust them implicitly.

You might need ultra heavy steel shafts, or you might need senior flex graphite shafts. What the specifics are doesn't matter so much as making sure you get them. Don't let your ego get in the way of playing good golf. And never think you're not good enough to get custom fit, a custom fitting will help an average golfer much better than a good one who already knows how to play properly...
