Tour Edge Exotics EX9 Hybrid

The little club that goes long

$159.99

Tour Edge Exotics are the best metal woods you may never have heard of. This small company from the outskirts of Chicago, know some secrets that only they seem to be in on that leads to very easy hit, silly long fairways and hybrids. Here is the latest, the EX9 Hybrid.

The EX9 hybrid has a maraging steel cup face with improved Variable Face Thickness (VFT). The face is different thicknesses, so that centre hits and miss hits both go as far as possible within the rules. We like cup face clubs, as they move any welding from the face, and we find them more forgiving.

The Power Grid  behind the face has been reengineered deeper and much more narrow to increase the spring effect across all areas of the face. Notches along the back edge of the Power Grid provide thinner spots specifically designed to increase rebound at impact.

The EX9 SlipStream sole features short ‘waves’ from front to back, dramatically reducing the amount of turf interaction. There is nothing in the way to to slow down impact, and help you hit the ball as far a possible. This thing is designed for distance, and every one of these small details adds up.

The heavier sole also positions the centre of gravity lower in the head to help players smash the ball from any horror lie.

The EX9 hybrid comes standard with UST Mamiya Recoil shafts. The 450 and 460 shafts are for players seeking a super lightweight option to increase club head speed for high ball flight and greater distance. While the 670 and 680 shafts focus on players seeking a lightweight option to increase club head speed with a mid high flight.

The EX9 hybrid is available in 2 (17°), 3 (19°), 4 (22°), 5 (25°), and 6 (28°) models.
