Jaye Marie Green: Swingin' Siren
Remember this name...
Words: Daniel Owen Photography: @jayemgreen
Jaye Marie Green came onto the scene at the 2013 LPGA Q School. She blitzed the opposition, winning by ten shots! That's ridiculous at that level of golf. And she was only 18 at the time.
Skipping straight to tour, and missing out on college golf, Green is still only 22. It's been an up and down start to her pro career. She had three top ten finishes in her second season, but 2016 been a bit of a struggle. It didn't help when she was involved in a car crash, when being driven by Cheyenne Woods, they were rear ended on their way to the Nike Outlet store.
Golf runs in the family, her uncle was a tour pro, but more importantly so was her father Donnie. He also has one of the best mops of hair in golf!
So far in 2017 Jaye Marie has played the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic where she finished 24th. Career earnings to date $493,705. Just a lil' ole country gal doing her job.
Give that girl a cigar! Oh, you have...
This swing is like silk!
And she's got famous pals!
You go, girl! Maximise the extreme! Pump the envelope! Put the cat out!
Not sure what this is about. Hockey, or something...
Mind how you go Jaye!
Kaboooommm!!!!
That is not one of those Flair Hair visors! Donnie coaches and caddies for his daughter.
While she's had a rough patch this year, she hits it too good, and is too young not to come good eventually. Come on Jaye, we're all rooting for you!
