Trump's first 100 days of golf
The numbers are in
Words: John Dean
Donald Trump has been POTUS for 100 days now, and here's what he has been up to on the golfing front in that time. It makes for impressive reading, such is his outstanding commitment to the great game.
He has quite put Obama to shame with his measly one appearance on the course versus Trump's 19. George Bush Senior didn't get in a single round in his first 100 days, which is a crying shame. But at least Bill Clinton managed to get out of the office for seven rounds in that same time period.
But hat's off to the Trump. Fitting in 19 days on the golf course in just the first 100 days of his Presidency is quite a remarkable achievement, what with North Korea kicking off and everything.
He's still got a long way to go though if he is to catch Woodrow Wilson, who played an estimated, 1,200 rounds of golf while in office from 1913–21.
That beats second–place President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who had a tree named for him at Augusta National Golf Club where he was a member and went 29 times as POTUS, and who played more than 800 rounds of golf in office from 1953–61.
President Trump, you have your work cut out!
